Nutrition is a very important component to fitness and overall health. The foods you eat provide the energy and nourishment needed to heal, strengthen and rejuvenate. It’s imperative to incorporate more wholesome protein rich meals to support your active and fit lifestyle. We all have our favorite cheat or as I like to call them “treat” meals. And yes, often times they are not the healthiest, but everything is good in moderation. Understanding how to find balance and establish a gentle relationship with food based on your personal goals and preferences can relieve a lot of anxiety and stress about eating healthier. There are so many tasty recipes and foods available that the possibilities of creating deliciously fresh meals that you crave are endless. Why should you trust me?

Hi, I’m Alex and I have always been physically active and engaged in sports. When I was four I started taking lessons in Korean Karate known as Tang Soo Do. At 10 years old, I earned a second degree black belt. When I was 6, I started playing basketball, soccer and baseball. Eventually, I narrowed it down to only basketball and karate until I was about 16 years old. At SBCC, I took an introductory to weight lifting class that ignited my passion to become a certified fitness trainer and nutritionist. I also acquired a Bachelor’s of Arts in Health and Wellness in 2016, which greatly influenced my holistic approach towards optimum health and wellness.
From March 2010-2020 I worked as a Personal Trainer and Manager at Superior Fitness Center and I had the pleasure of training hundreds of clients from young student athletes who needed to build strength and stamina to working mothers wanting to lose belly fat and tone their bodies’. From 2016-2024, I worked as a fitness specialist and coordinator at a Senior Living Retirement Community in Santa Barbara called Valle Verde. Working with this population allowed me to develop a greater understanding of the human body at this stage.
And now, at the age of 42, I feel more knowledgeable, stronger, energized, and empathetic than I ever thought possible. Do you know what the secret is…
